We drove from our house to Colorado Springs. We stopped for the night. Our plans were to wake up, go to the North Pole and then head to our camp ground. We had hoped to sleep in that Saturday morning, but the smoke detector in our room had other plans. At 7:00 it started beeping. By the time we got the battery out the kids were awake and there was no going back. So we packed up and headed to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. The North Pole didn't open for several hours, so we just went ahead to our camp site instead.
We stayed at a pretty nice park. It had a playground, putt putt, a lake to fish in and a pool. The day we arrived they had an ice cream social and karaoke.
My uncle Robert and Addison sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star!
