Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday, Glade and Addison were invited to an Easter Egg Hunt with their friend Kinsley.  Kinsley's granparents host the egg hunt every year for the grandkids and their friends.  Here are the kids posing for a picture with Kinsley and Addi.

Where's Glade?  Can you find him?

The hunt is on.  There was somewhere around 500 eggs.  It was so fun to see the all the kids hunting.

Showing off their finds.

Such a big boy.  He has really starting posing for the camera, which makes it so much easier to get a good picture!
My sweeties!
If only I had taken off the sunglasses.  Oops, it s a fairly good family picture anyway!

Thank you to our sweet friend Kinsley and her grandparents for inviting us to such a fun Easter hunt!

More mischief...when will it stop?

Yep, they did it again.  Can you guess what it is this time?

This is red fingernail polish.  I could smell it before I got to the top of the stairs.  I had taken it away from them and put it on top of their dresser.  They are resourceful and used the lego wagon to get it down.  There is polish on the book shelf and Glade's bed.  That probably won't come off without having to refinish the wood.  There there is the "finger" paint polish behind the chair in our TV room upstairs. (the picture above showcases the window sill.)  There are some nice handprints on the window too!  But the best part of all...

These were taken just after the pops!  It was not a good day in our house!

This shows just how well Addison can do body paint!

Glade with his look of guilt.

It took a few days and lots of scubbing to get all the polish off.  I will have to go childproof the upstairs AGAIN!  Who knew the kids would move the table away from the wall to get into the drawer?  Little stinkers!

Our Friend Addi

On Friday our friend Addi came over to play.  The kids had lots of fun outside in the beautiful weather.
They played with purple play-doh.

"Cheese!"
And had fun blowing bubbles at the dogs!  Aren't they just a cute group?
They were both really tired when Addi went home.
Addison has a thing with taking her clothes off when they get even just a little bit dirty.  She spends a lot of time running around in her panties...I don't want to wash that much!

It was so much fun having Addi come play!

Picnic and Play

Today we met up with Jana and Andrew for a picnic play date.  The weather is beautiful.  We could have stayed a lot longer, but the kids were getting fussy and well, Glade wet his pants...again!  UGH, I am so ready for him to learn that's not okay!

We had a great time and I got some cute pictures.
Playing soccer

Just a swingin'

Such a big boy!

Three little monkey!

Nature Walk
Glade asking where are the squirrels.

Such good friends!

Looking at the dirty water.

Pretty Spring Tree...I love this time of year!

Ready, Set, RUN!

Time to go home...but not over the fence!

Thanks Jana and Andrew for a fun day at the park!

St. Patty's Day Fun

We started the day hunting for gold.  The kids had counted their gold here.  We did this first so they would know what to do.

Glade found some gold!

Next we did some potato printing.  Addison loved this part.  Glade was done within one or two minutes.
Our shamrock potato stamp

Then we did some marble painting with green paint.  This was more Glade's speed!

Then we dug for gold in a tub of peas!
Can you find the gold?

We colored a shamrock and glued green things on it.

And for lunch we had "macinoni" and cheese...St. Patty's Style!

While the kids napped, I made some cupcakes. Rainbow cupcakes.  It was a pretty tedious process, but they turned out so cute.  You take a white cake mix, mix it up and divide it into 6 bowls.  Then you use food coloring to make the colors.  I used the color gel that I got at walmart by Wilton's.  It is so fun to play with this stuff.  That's how I got the macaroni so green!
Here are my bowls of colored cake batter.  YUM!

These are the finished cupcakes.  I am so happy with how bright and colorful they are.  They were yummy too.  The recipe said you could make 16 cupcakes, but I only did 12.  There wasn't enough batter to make the extra four...so maybe I ate a little cake batter...I couldn't help it!

We had a great day.  Now, I have to plan the next fun day.  Maybe in April.

Just Hanging Around

We have been spending lots of time outside lately and we love it!

Addison is a little monkey and loves to hang.

She held on for a long time and even pulled up a little bit!
