Our favorite things

Glade and Addison have both discovered some things that they enjoy.
Addison loves to draw and color. She will find pens or anything that looks like a pen and try to write. She found a crayon and colored inside all the flaps of one of her books.
Glade really enjoys playing with tools. He likes to find screws and tries to unscrew them with the screwdriver, or use the rubber mallot to hammer things. He found Tim's drill and was having fun pushing the button to make it go.Glade wore himself out playing with the drill.
I have discovered an easy way to make hairbows and have really been enjoying myself. I also found a yummy cake recipe and made it for Grandma's birthday!

Look what we got into

Glade and Addison have been into everything lately. I went downstairs to get batteries for one of their toys and this is what I came back to. Addison in the sink and Glade standing on the toilet playing in the water. I think we are in for some times with these two working together to create mischief! The other night Glade decided to take his bath with his clothes on. He crawled in the tub while I was undressing Addison.

Last weekend we went to my parent's house to celebrate my dad's birthday. The kids had a great time even though it was cold. I am a slacker mom and didn't bring their jackets...so we made due until Grammy saved the day and got them a jacket.

Happy 2009

So it's been a while since I have posted. We have been enjoying our days as a family. Tim had to weeks off just like we did. It was so nice to be able to spend time together and it was nice for me to get to go the gym without the kids. We had all of Tim's family over on New Year's Eve. We had a good time. The silly string and poppers were a big hit and are still in our yard. Two of Tim's nephews spent the night with us. After going to bed so late I was looking forward to sleep, but Glade and Addison had other plans. They got up on New Year's Day at 7:00. So we went to the donut shop while everyone else in the house got some sleep.

Here are Glade and Addison enjoying some donut holes and chocolate milk.After donuts we went to our neighbors house to let their dog out. This is Glade behind the screen door not wanting to leave. He was too busy playing with keys and "locking" the door.

Glade and Addison went to their first birthday party. They did really good considering it was during their nap time.

We had a cold rainy day yesterday. Here are some pictures of the icy weather.

Last night we watched the Buckeyes play football. Unfortunately, our team lost. But we had fun with friends anyway.
Glade really enjoyed his cheese dip so much, he put some in his hair for later.
