Buddy the Elf

Santa sent our elf back this year.  We named him Buddy and he was always busy watching Glade and Addison this year.  Aside from one night where he stayed in the north pole because of some questionable behavior by the kids, he was back at our house every night!  Here are few pictures of some of the adventures our elf had this year.

Buddy was tired of our tree not having decorations so he did it for us!

 A little gift wrap fun!

Buddy went to church with us.

Some things we did not get pictures of:
Buddy drew faces on our pictures
He took a buble bath in the marshmallows
Rode one of Addison's horses
Drank a Sonic drink
Drank some syrup for breakfast

We sure enjoyed having Buddy again this year.  The kids were sure to tell him bye last night and that they would see him again next year!

Family Pictures 2012

We had our family pictures done in November.  I am so happy with how well they turned out.

The 50th day of Kindergarten

The kids celebrated the 50th day of Kindergarten back in November.  I got to go up and help with the fun activities they got to do.  I helped them make rootbeer floats!   The kids got to dress up for the special day.

Field Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

At the end of October the kids took their first field trip to the pumpkin patch.  Tim got the opportunity to go with them since I was still subbing at the time!  I think they had a great time despite that it was super cold!

They got sit by the campfire and roast marshmallows.

There were lots of old carnival rides.  I know my little dare devils loved them!

I am so glad they get to experience such fun things, just wish I could have gone with them!

Another time at Grammy and Pappy's

This is another weekend we spent at Grammy and Pappy's.  We all go together to celebrate Dylan, Drew and McKenna's birthday.  There was some pinata fun!  I am not sure who had more fun, the kids trying to hit it or Pappy trying to make them miss!  Either way, the pinata lost!
This is how Glade got to be called Log Toe...he got a really big splinter in his toe.  My dad and Tim had to work really hard to get it out.
Addison was super sweet trying to help Glade be still.

Sprinkler fun at Grammy and Pappy's

Awhile back...like in October...we spent some time at Grammy and Pappy's house.  The kids got to enjoy playing in the sprinkler.

I have been falling down on my job with this blog!  I am hoping to get caught up.  Check back to see more of me playing catch up!

Soccer

Glade played soccer for the first time this year.  He did really well and enjoyed playing so much.  He is actually going to be starting indoor soccer for the winter season.  He will get to play with a good friend from preschool so we are excited about that.  He scored a goal in every game and there was one game he scored 9 goals...so he says...I think it was more like 5!  He just needs to remember to go after the ball and not wait in the goal to try to block it.  I am so proud of Glade's ability to play and his love for the game, no matter what game he is playing.

The first day of school~two months later!

Oh how I can't believe this day has finally arrived.  My babies have grown up and are going to school. I am so proud of the these two.  They have grown into two pretty incredible children.  We have been praying for them and their school experience.  I can say since we are two months out from this first day that they have been great!  Addison cried on the second day of school and crawled under the table and wouldn't come out.  Her teacher had to get the counselor. Who then brought her by the room I was subbing in and I had to talk her into to going to class.  That was the only day!  Thank goodness.  I couldn't handle many more days like that!
My sweet Glade.  He is such the easy going child.  He walks right into class without letting any anxiety of nervousness show.  He has grown to love school and has made some great friends.  I love seeing his sweet spirit come through!

This is how Daddy and the kids kept me from breaking down and crying.  Silly pictures!

They came home to balloons and we made special cookies.  Kissing hand cookies!
