New Do's

I had fun today fixing Glade and Addison's hair. They were great client's. Addison only pulled her bow out twice, she kept it in all during church. I was impressed. I gave Glade a mohawk. It was really cute. His hair is getting too long though and it looks kinda silly at the back.
A side view of the mohawk.
My 3 cuties!
Glade has lost his voice. I think he may be allergic to the dogs. I am going to have to call the dr. tomorrow because it's not getting better and he has started with a nasty cough.
Tonight while getting ready for bed, Glade picked up my glass and drank the rest of my tea. Then he carried it to the fridge and held it up the ice and water dispenser. He's so smart! I put some ice and water in the glass and he drank. Then ran! It was so cute to see him running with a glass of water. He ran around the corner and started crying. Tim went to see what was wrong...he had an ice cube in his mouth. He doesn't like things cold. He cried when given a bite of ice cream. He will learn eventually!
We are closing on the new house Friday at noon! I am so ready to get in and get settled and back in a routine. After the move I plan to get really dedicated to eating better and exercising regularly. I may even create a blog about it! We'll see.
Good night!

The great outdoors

We spent the evening outside the other day. Glade and Addison both love to be outside. They love to walk around and look at all the plants and touch them. Glade enjoys playing with the ball. Their cheeks get so red lately because it has been so hot, but they don't let it stop them. They love it. Almost always there are tears when it is time to go in. Here are some of my favorite pictures from that day.

Yep, my hands are dirty
She moved the dirt for about 10 minutes
Glade, where's the ball?
Silly daddy, put it in Glade's shirt!

Thanks for looking!

Playing at the mall

I took Glade and Addison to the mall on Thursday. We played in the play area and went to Chick-Fil-A. They had a great time and fell asleep on the way home. It was the best nap they have taken all week.

Our homeless days!

We are still homeless. Things are going pretty good with our living arrangements. Glade and Addison seem to be adjusting to the days pretty well. Unfortunately the nights are not going as well. Last night, Glade spent most of the night in bed with us. Then Addison had her turn this morning. I don't think anyone got a good nights rest. I think they know that we are in the same room with them and want to be with us. It is also a very dark room, so I got a night light to try tonight. We will see how it goes. Tim and I might end up sleeping on the couches!

Here are some pictures from the last few days!
Glade loves the massage chair in the gameroom here. He climbs in it and relaxes.

Addison found the perfect place to play...the dog crate. She played in it for almost 10 minutes

Glade has grown fond of Kelly. Poor Kelly endures Glade's torture several times a day. Here he is grabbing his leg trying to get him to get up.

We went to the community park yesterday. Here they are learning to walk on the rocks. Addison climbing up to the slide.
Watch Out! Glade is driving.

Water hose fun

We had another busy day here in the Hill Country. This morning mom and I went to several stores looking for Glade some shoes, he has outgrown all of his. I can't believe how hard it is to find good shoes for toddlers without spending a fortune. It's very hard for me to spend $30 for shoes he might wear 2 months. So, I'm off to the consignment shops when I get home in search of some good tennis shoes!

We came and played in the house for a little bit. The kids colored with crayons. Addison took a bite! Glade pretended to eat the crayons. He also said "Ah, oh" they have been saying "oh" but he finally got it all together, it is so cute.

The highlight of the night was the water hoses though. They loved it. Just look at the pictures!
Addison would cover the hose to make it squirt everywhereTaking a drink. Right after this she tried to give me a drink and got me wet!

Glade held onto the hose for a long time. He washed our feet and shook the hose in the air
He was thirsty too!

Playing in the swings.

They love to swing into each other.

Tomorrow we will be going to Aunt Mae's house to swim. It should be lots of fun.

Grammy and Pappy's house

We have been at Grammy and Pappy's house the last week so mommy and daddy could finish moving our stuff and get our room ready at Aunt Lisa's house. We have had lots of fun. Grammy and Pappy have a big yard for us to play in. We love to go outside and swing. Another favorite thing is to climb the steps on the porch. We love to climb up and down. We can't wait to move into our new house. It has stairs! We will keep mommy and daddy so busy going up and down them. We love to come to Grammy and Pappy's house because they give us lots of yummy treats. Some of the good stuff from this time is Coke floats, M&M's and real chocolate milk- not the syrup kind mommy makes!

Mommy came today, we were so excited to see her. We showed her all the fun stuff we have been doing. We got to play in the water tonight and Pappy gave us the water hose. Here are some pictures for you Daddy. We miss you a lot and can't wait to see you Friday.

Climbing the steps

Glade went behind the desk to get in the chair that Grammy though he couldn't get to.

Addison wouldn't take a bath without her shoes. She loves shoes.

Quick Update!

Last night was our last night in this house. Tim and I were both a little sad to be leaving our "first" house. I am amazed to think back at all the blessing we enjoyed while living here. I can't wait to move into the new house and make many more wonderful memories together.
We will be moving the rest of the stuff out today. We are going to be living with Lisa, Tim's sister, until we close on the new house. The bank that owns the house are dragging their feet about getting everything done. It will most likely be August before we can move in. I just hope we can move out of the storage space before a month because we got a month free!
I have some cute pictures of the whole moving process, but right now, the camera is...well...probably in a box somewhere! Hopefully after tomorrow I can get it out and get some pictures loaded.
Say some prayers we can close on our new house soon!
