My Babies are 3!

It's hard to believe how much they have grown and how quickly the time has gone.  It seems that just yesterday we were anxiously waiting for their arrival...well actually we were praying for them not to arrive for a while!
My precious Glade
Sweet Addison
Here they are on their first birthday!  Oh, if I could just go back and cuddle them some more.
Here is last years celebration at 2.

We celebrated on Saturday with our family and a few friends.  I will post about that later.  Right now I want to remember what Glade and Addison are doing now that they are 3.

Addison-
You are my helper.  You love to help in the kitchen.  You like to stir, and try to cut things.
You also love to paint and color or really do anything crafty.  We bought you a special notebook that you take with you a lot and you "write" your name, Glade's name, mommy's name and Daddy's name in it.
You still have to have your rags.  I had to buy some more from ebay just to get the ones you like.  Your favorites right now are the purple ones.
You love all things purple.  You ask for purple corn dogs and purple pizza.  You were very determined that you would get a purple bike.  We did the best we could!
You sing all the time!  Some of your favorite songs are I'm in the Lord's Army, Ring a round the rosie, Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and Jesus loves me.
You are sleepng better at night, but still have to have your collection of rags, your water and a book.
You have recently become very animated when talking.  Even when telling us you need to potty!
You love your bubba so much.
You tell us "I love you so much" and then give us a giant hug!
You have a temper to match your hair!  When you get mad, you GET MAD!  Stomping your feet and telling us what you want to do!

Glade
You are the sensitive one.  You are so shy and it upsets you when you get told no.
You love sports, and you are good at most of them.  If we are outside you will be shooting the basketball, throwing the football, hitting the baseball or kicking the soccer ball.
You have waited so patiently for your bike to come out of hiding.  See we bought it at the end of January and you are so observant you found it.  We had to hide it until your birthday!  Now you are riding it like crazy, around the house since the weather has been rainy.
You will snuggle up with us and hold your pillowcase.  That "kill-o-case" has given us several scares in the last year.  We thought we had lost it a few times.  I think I was more sad than you were.
You have really become a momma's boy.  You don't want me to leave you to go anywhere.  I have had to leave you screaming before, but one day you will thank me!
You love to climb and jump off of things.  I really t hink the ceiling fan in our living room will come crashing down  one day because you jump so much upstairs.
One of your favorite things to eat are cereal bars.  It's a good thing you like them because I am not so good at getting breakfast ready on the days we have school.
We can see the twinkle in your eyes when you are happy and you make the funniest faces when you are not.
You are testing the boundaries big time right now and when you don't get your way you pitch a big screaming fit.  You pound your fists and throw yourself on the ground.  It usually only takes a few minutes for you to do the right thing.  The key word there is usually!

I get the joy of seeing the two you grow up together and experience things together.  You are really good at sharing and you both watch out for each other.  Recently you both like to sleep in the same the bed.  Sometimes you make it all night, some nights we have to split you up because you are playing too much.  The two of you together can get into lots of trouble.  Playing in the bathtub, painting with vaseline, fingernail polish and baby lotion.  Recently you had a great time with the make-up that Grammy left.  Addison, consealer is not the best lipstick and it is really hard to clean off the wall- thanks Glade!

So today we celebrate the two most precious gifts from God.  I can't imagine life without my Glade and Addison.  We pray that God will bless us with many more years of learning and growing.  I pray that your daddy and I will be the examples that we need to be for the both of you and I pray that we can teach you to love God and to follow Him daily.  I pray that we can be the ones you will come to when you have a problem or need to talk.

Happy Birthday Glade and Addison!  We love you so much.
Now watch out Chuck E Cheese we are coming to celebrate!
