It's not a grill, it's a maternity ward.

Just thought I would post about the fun find from the BBQ grill yesterday!  I went to light the grill so I could cook some chicken for dinner last night.  I made sure to check it because last week there was an unusual amount of grass and debris in one corner.  I really didn't think much of it, lit the grill and let it burn.  Later I thought about it and realized I probably just destroyed somethings home.  Back to yesterday...I look and see two beedy eyes looking back at me.  So, I yelled GROSS,  (Then Addison said GROSS!  So cute!)   slammed the lid shut, and ran inside.  How is it that whenever something...a mouse...ventures into my world the men in my life are never there?  This takes me back to a time when we were living in our garage...yes I said we were living in our garage.  That's another story for another day.  My dad had taken a job in the Dallas area and was already working here.  Mom and I were still living in the garage- with the mice!  Mom was the hero in that story, she shoveled the mice out of the "house" and threw it on the burn pile!
So, of course Tim was still at work.  I decided grilling chicken might not be the best option at the moment.  I looked back at the grill several times and that mouse was not moving...SHE was protecting her babies.  Yes, she had 4 babies in her nest.  Our grill was her labor and delivery suite!  NICE!  I cooked our chicken inside, Tim got home, scooped out the nest of babies and disposed of them.  The mama mouse was not seen...but oh, will she be mad that her babies are gone!
Anyway, our grill is now just a grill.  But, it may take me a while to actually use it again.  It's just gross thinking of my food cooking in the same area as baby mice being born.  GROSS!
This is a picture of two of them.
