Thanksgiving 2008

We left last Sunday and went to my parent's house in Wimberley. The kids had a great time playing outside. Glade loved to throw the balls into the trees...just like his Daddy. (Tim got two balls stuck in the tree!) Glade also learned to throw the frisbee into the bushes...just like my sister Denise! Addison loved to sit on the kitchen counter while we were cooking. She also learned to say alright! Her biggest accomplishment would be going to the bathroom in the potty. She was very successful when we let her try. Several times she would point to her bottom and walk into the bathroom. She likes to sit on the potty, even with her clothes on. We would let her try before her bath each night and most nights she would tee tee in the potty and sometimes she even went poopy. Last night she wanted out of the bathtub to go poopy! Maybe we will be able to potty train her! So it's out to get a potty for our house tomorrow!
I had a great time with my niece and nephews. McKenna and Denise and I went exploring in the woods. You will have to ask McKenna what "a murt" is! (Sorry McKenna I just couldn't resist!) The kids raked the leaves at my Grandparents house and made a huge pile. I got buried in it too! I am so thankful that we got to spend so much time together and make some good memories!

San Antonio Fun

Tim and I spent a night in San Antonio to celebrate our birthdays and upcoming anniversary. We had a great time relaxing and enjoying each other. We ate lots of yummy food, walked around along the riverwalk, and got to sleep in!

Patio, Deck and Slide...Oh My!

We have been busy this last week. My dad found us a patio cover on Craigslist in Austin. He picked it up and brought it to us. We now have a beautiful patio and deck in our backyard. The kids love it. We will get so much good use out of it.

This is the deck in process...Dad, screwing in the deck boardsThe completed project...well almost, we have to put the sealer on the deck.
Glade and Addison got a haircut yesterday.

Addison did such a good job, she played with the firetruck the whole time.
Glade cried at first, but then he settled down. He stood up the whole time she was cutting his hair. She even used the clippers and he didn't cry!

Our preschool got a new playground and I got to buy some of the old stuff for really cheap. I got a slide for our playroom. The kids love it!

This is Addison on the slide...look at all that static!

Glade's turn, it took him awhile to climb up the ladder and slide. Now, it's all he wants to do.
Addison has found her future profession. She wants to be a nail technician. The other night she got the clippers took everyones socks off and started "clipping" our nails. Even Pappy got to enjoy a pedicure from Addison!

We are going to my parents house for the week. Tim and I are going to spend a night in San Antonio. I am so excited. Hopefully we will be able to sleep in!

House of sickness

We have been a house of sickness since the weekend. Glade started it by throwing up at 4:00 Saturday morning. He hasn't been himself for the last few days. Then , the lovely bug invaded my stomach. I have been puny all day today. Hopefully this is just a 24 hour thing. I haven't kept anything down today. Say some prayers that this will pass soon. I hate to miss preschool and I had to miss the Wacky Wednesday trip to CiCi's. I am so disappointed.

Sneak Peek of our pictures

Yesterday we had our pictures taken for the Christmas card. Here is a sneak peek of what we got. Glade was being a toot, not wanting to smile, but he eventually came around. It was really hard to get a family picture. There are more, I just don't have them yet. I am so excited about how these look. I know it will be so hard to choose from them all. Thanks to our friend Chera for doing such a great job! You can see her other work at www.chera25.com
