It has been a crazy day. It started out with a visit to the vet. One of our beagles, Gray-also known as the million dollar dog, has had a swollen eye since Friday. We tried benadryl but that didn't work. It started oozing this morning, so to the vet we went. On the way there I found a puppy. The most adorable chihuahua puppy I have ever seen. He was just wondering around the street in our neighborhood, so I picked him up and knocked on several doors with no luck. So I took him with us to the vet. We get there and unload the two dogs and two kids. I'm tired already! They take the puppy, one of the techs was going to keep it. Whew! We don't need another dog. Now it's time for the vet to look at Gray. He has an abscess, most likely from a bite of some sort.(Which by the way, happened in November and has been "cooking" since then.) They decide to keep him so they can drain it and clean it up. So we leave to come home and take what is left of our nap. Fast forward to 12:30. The vet calls, they will keep Gray overnight it was worse than they thought. Basically he had an egg sized pocket of infection. GROSS! And can we say $$$$$$. This dog has been through more surgeries than I have!
Glade wakes up for lunch. Addison was still asleep. I almost get Glade into the highchair when the pest control guy rings the doorbell. Our front door is broken, so I have to open the garage. He came two weeks ago for ants in our bathroom and sprayed the yard, but they kept us on the schedule and he did it again. YEA! No bugs. I wake Addison up for lunch. She is not happy. She is running a temperature and just doesn't feel good. So, she gets motrin and goes back to bed. I call the dr to work us in...since she had a fever on Saturday as well. We go to the dr. There's nothing wrong, but he gave us an antibiotic because of the on again off again fever and her very yucky nose! She was pretty fussy this afternoon, but because of the dr. visit she didn't get an afternoon nap. She went to bed early and will hopefully(cross your fingers and say a prayer for us) sleep all night.
So today I went to the vet, the dr. and Sam's. I cooked dinner, cleaned the kitchen, made birthday invitations, washed clothes and made time to update the blog! I'm going to bed!
Addison fell at preschool and got carpet burn on her nose.

This picture isn't that great, but you can see her scab a little.
