Our first field trip

Now that the kids are in PreK they get to go on field trips.  They were both so excited, and kept asking when the day would finally get here.  I think the most exciting part of the trip is getting to ride the "bus".  The day before our trip Glade kept asking about the bus.  With every school bus he saw he asked if that was our bus.  While we do not have a big yellow bus, we do have what is called a people mover.  None the less, the kids loved riding in the bus!
It rained the day before our trip, so I was a little concerned we might have to reschedule.  The sun came out for us though.  We pulled on our rain boots and headed to the farm!  While there the kids got to feed and pet some animals, walk through a maze, jump in a bounce house, take a tractor ride, play and shoot a corn cannon.  Glade loved the cannon! It was actually tennis balls, but still it was fun to shoot and aim at the targets.  We pretty much had the place all to ourselves which was so nice!  I loved getting to watch Glade and Addison have so much fun with all their friends.  I love how they have been able to grow so close during our years at preschool.  Such a blessing these years have been!

We have to watch out for these two!  This little guy already has plans to marry Addison.  They are always together at preschool!  He has planned where they will live and he said they will have 10 kids!  It is so funny to hear them talk about such things.

We brought our baby pumpkins home and painted them.

Cowboy Day 2011

All things Cheer

Here is a recap or the last several weeks of cheer for Addison.  She loves to cheer.  She is constantly jumping and turning cartwheels.  This is a picture of her sweet friend Kinsley giving her some encouragement to do her part in a cheer.  Addison does get really nervous sometimes and does not want to cheer in front of an audience!
She had no trouble after cheer camp though!  She performed her cheers in front of everyone!
One of the benefits of cheer camp was to go cheer at the high school game last Friday night.  I was worried she would be "too nervous" as she says when she doesn't want to perform in front of others.  But she did great!

Here she is posing for the camera at last weeks football game.  The girls cheer so hard for their team, unfortunately they have yet to win a game this season.

Addison is not feeling well this week so she will have to miss the last game of the season.  I am so proud of my little cheerleader and all that she has learned.  Ms. Holly has done such a great job with all of the girls.  We look forward to next year and cheering again.  We hope Glade can be on the team we cheer for!

Cute photos from my phone

Since getting the new phone I have taken more pictures with it.  Here are some of what I downloaded recently...

Tea Anyone?

Addison and I had a tea party the other day.  You can't have tea without a hat!

Here is our waiter.  He was wonderful!  Provided great service.
A girl cannot have too many hats.
Even I got to wear the sparkly Jessie hat.

Movies on Main

We took advantage of the cooler weather and went to see Tangled at our local library.  It was so much fun to get out and enjoy being outside and not sweating!  We had snacks, drinks, a blanket and lots of fun.

This is what happens when the camera flash is really bright and it is dark outside.

Hair cuts and Football games

Glade has been in need of a hair cut and I had a coupon for a free cut so I took him.  I was hoping to be able to keep the top a little longer without the back sticking up so much.  Because of his cow licks, that was not the case, so we are trying to let it grow out.  Here is what we came out with.  Thankfully, it was free!
That evening we went to see Corbin and Ciara march in the band at their foot ball game.  Glade loved watching the football game.

Addison loved watching the drill team.

We couldn't leave until she had her picture taken with one of the girls.  I think I see some dancing in her future!  She loves it.
