Happy 5th Birthday!

Birthday Play date

This year we had another birthday playdate for some friends from school.  I was really hoping for a Dr. Seuss theme, but these kids had their own plan.  So instead we had an Ohio State and Princess party. 

For the Ohio State part we made some gatorade labels with duct tape and stickers.  The boys also got some eye stickers, football tattoos, a bracelet and a football whistle.

 The princesses were able to dress up with some jewelry, crowns and wands.  Everything a princess needs!

Daddy Daughter Date Night

Our local Chick Fil A hosts a Daddy Daughter Date night every year.  Addison and Tim went again this year. The staff is so nice and they really work hard to make the night special.  There is even a limo that took them to and from the car!

Happy Valentine's Day

We started the morning with heart shaped chicken biscuits from our local CFA!  They gave away free biscuits.  They were yummy!!

The fours classes all dressed up for a Valentine Tea Party.  They had little sandwiches, juice, fruit, pretzels, and cheese cubes. 

Next we did some painting.  Glade was not too thrilled about having his picture taken. 

 Addison on the other hand is quick to offer a smile!

We had some balloons left over and the kids brought one home.  Addison wrote a message on hers before letting it go to Ethan.  She drew a picture of her and Ethan holding hands and then wrote, "I love Ethan.  Ethan. I went to school today."

 and let it go!

She has such a caring heart and sweet spirit!  I am so proud of that girl!

A trail of hearts

This morning our Valentine's had to follow a trail of hearts down the stairs.  They were so surprised to see the hearts starting at their door and going all the way down the stairs.

I think they were more surprised that Mommy made the mess with the hearts!  And yes, I did clean them up, with a little help from Addison.  Seems like these days Glade is not the best helper.  It is funny how that changes so often.  I guess they go threw phases.  Sure wish we could get them both helping and cleaning at the same time.



Museum of Nature and Science

We took a field trip to the Children's Museum downtown.  I had such a fun time with my kids despite being sick!  The kids had a fun time too.  They played in the water, picked vegetables on "the farm"  dug for dinosaur bones and milked a cow!

I was trying to clean out my sewing room but had two little munchkins that wanted my attention. I bribed them...yes...I did. They let me clean and then we would go to the park. Worked like a charm. Now, I did not get finished with my cleaning, but I did get a good start.
